Doug
Doug Matthias, President / Owner
Doug Matthias started Matthias Landscaping Co in 1991 and has become the contractor of choice for so many homeowners in the Cedar Valley area. Doug is a Certified Allan Block installer and has also taken classes offered by ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) and NCMA (National Concrete & Masonry Association), organizations that set the recommended industry standard guidelines for the installation of pavers brick and sentimental retaining walls.
Prairie
Prairie, Executive of Public Relations
Prairie is the owner’s Chocolate Lab and comes to work with him every day. If you stop by the office she will exuberantly greet you at the door on you next visit. On her days off, Prairie enjoys duck hunting and fishing with Doug.
Jason

Jason has worked for 16 years in the landscape industry. He started at Matthias Landscaping when he was 16 working in the field and assisted in the installation of projects. Eventually he worked his way up the ranks and became a Crew Foreman and later took the position as a Designer and Estimator. Jason has learned from first hand experience in all asspects of the business and knows what it takes to bring your project from the drawing board to a finished product. Jason has also taken classes offered by ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) an organization that set the recommended industry standard guidelines for the installation of pavers brick.
Nate
Nate Lansing, Designer

Nate is a 2008 graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelors of Landscaping Architecture. Nate has worked for 16 years in the landscape industry and has worked for Matthias Landscaping since 2008. He currently holds certifications as a Nurseryman with with INLA (Iowa Nursery and Landscape Association) and as a certified Kitchler Low Voltage Lighting Designer. In 2014 Nate was named the Iowa Certified Nursery Professional of the Year by the INLA. Nate has also taken classes offered by ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) an organization that sets the recommended industry standard guidelines for the installation of pavers brick.
